Under the rule of the Lawrence Clan the Ludi Harpastum drastically changes. For four years in a row Barca gets to choose the girl who will throw the Harpastum, pick it up himself and take her home. The fifth year Venti dares to pick up the ball and refuses to hand it over. After he runs away with Vennessa's help Barca gets Lord Lawrence to buy her and her kin out of revenge.[1]
Barca wakes Vennessa up the day of the fight against Ursa the Drake.[1]
