Honkai: Star Rail (Chinese: 崩坏：星穹铁道 Bēnghuài: Xīngqióng Tiědào, "Honkai: Star Dome Railway") is a turn-based strategy RPG developed and published by HoYoverse. It is the company's seventh game, and fifth installment in the Honkai series. It is a spin-off of Honkai Impact 3rd with the story following closely after the events of A Post-Honkai Odyssey and Alien Space which has been written to have occurred in 2029.

- The English title's abbreviation may be a deliberate choice as HSR is primarily used for high-speed rail, a type of rail network utilizing trains that run significantly faster than those of traditional rail. This ties in with the fact that the main protagonists travel through space using a train that follows the star rail.
- The game was revealed at the end of the Honkai Impact 3rd celebration concert, Starfire Sonorant, with the Reburn II Concept Animation on October 5, 2021 and the first reveal trailer being played back to back. The reveal trailer was later added to the game's official YouTube channel on October 7, 2021.
- The game's release date, April 26, is the equivalent of March 7 in lunisolar calendar during the year 2023 since the Gregorian date falls on the 7th day of the 3rd lunisolar month.
- March 7 is a reference to one of the game's main protagonists, March 7th.
- April 26 is the birth date of Zhan Tianyou, the man known as the "Father of China's Railroad".
