Raiden Makoto was the original electro archon and the twin sister of Ei . Makoto's ideal was eternity though unlike Ei's perpetual eternity, Makoto believed that eternity was transient and the only truly eternal thing is change.

During the cataclysm 500 years ago she died in Khaenr'iah. Her reason for visiting the godless nation is unknown but her decision seems to have been influenced by Isaroth, the God of Time.

History

With her sister Ei , Makoto came out victorious during the Archon war. The two agreed that Makoto would serve as the archon and handle governing affairs whilst Ei would be her "kagemusha" or shadow and serve as her body double.

500 years ago monsters began appearing all over Inazuma destroying the land. While Ei was busy fending off the monsters in Inazuma, Makoto left for Khaenr'iah as "it was a land that no archon could ignore". Eventually Ei arrived in Khaenr'iah and found her sister uncouncious and at the brink of death. While she couldn't save her sister she was able to save part of her sister's conciousness and place it underneath the Grand Narukami Shrine. Before this, Makoto had also saved part of her own conciousness in her sword the Musoi Isshin and made sure it would only awaken when Ei used its full power. Once she did it would grow into the Sacred Sakura and assist in purifying the land of monsters.
